Capital Campaign

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Oshkosh United relies on the generosity of our families. We are asking you to consider a tax-deductible gift to help us reach our $200,000 Capital Campaign goal.

Every gift—no matter the size—moves us closer to opening The Lab. Your support today helps ensure our athletes have a safe, local place to train all winter and beyond.

Permanent Recognition at The Lab

To honor those who help build this foundation, we will feature permanent donor plaques inside the facility:

  • Hat Trick ($10,000+): Large Soccer Ball Plaque
  • Brace ($5,000): Medium Soccer Ball Plaque
  • Goal ($1,000): Small Soccer Ball Plaque
  • Assist ($250–$999): Circle Plaque

Whether you contribute $25 or $5,000, all donations made toward this campaign are tax-deductible and directly support the completion of this space so our athletes can begin training as soon as possible.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Oshkosh United Soccer Club Announces New Indoor Training Facility, 'The Lab,' in Downtown Oshkosh

OSHKOSH, Wis. May 12, 2025 — Oshkosh United Soccer Club is proud to announce it has leased the former Rhyme building (641 N. Main Street, Oshkosh, WI) from the Hoopman Foundation, with plans to transform the space into a high-level indoor training facility. The working name of the facility is The Lab.

Located in downtown Oshkosh, the building will be repurposed into a year-round, climate-controlled training space that will provide athletes with opportunities to continue their development regardless of the weather. The new facility will include a turf area for training, space for individual or small group technical and tactical instruction and a film room for game analysis.

“This is an exciting step forward for our club,” said Matt Callahan, Director of Coaching for Oshkosh United Soccer Club. “Having a dedicated indoor training space will allow players to grow their skills in a consistent and supportive environment while keeping them active throughout the year.”

Hoopman Foundation, which owns the former Rhyme building, expressed enthusiasm for the new partnership. “Growing up in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, sports played such a huge part in my formative years. The Hoopman Foundation is excited to be able to help support a program that provides that same experience to today’s youth. Partnering with Oshkosh United to create a year-round space where kids can work to improve their soccer skills should be a great asset to the Oshkosh community,” said Hoopman Foundation CEO Eric Hoopman.

Renovation work will begin in the coming weeks, with plans to open the facility in phases starting later this year. Updates and information about the project will be available on the Oshkosh United Soccer Club website and social media platforms.
